Roughout Ranch has an internship opening! The internship is intended for people who want to learn what it takes to be a ranch/farm hand and learn ranch/farm management for homesteading or running or working a small scale ranch/farm. We have horses, goats, pig, turkeys, guinea hens, geese, and duck. Ranch upkeep, maintenance, hay harvesting and working in the vegetable garden is all part of ranching and farming. Time commitment is approximately 4 hours one morning each week. This is a volunteer program intended for education but we do also send people home with a small amount of eggs and vegetables as a thank you for your help. Lifting of up to 50 lbs is required. Minimum 3 month commitment, one morning a week. At this time we have Monday, Saturday or Sunday.
