We hold drop-off events throughout the year, starting in April. Drop-off events are available to Boston residents. The events run from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Leaf and yard waste tips Common yard waste material includes leaves and grass clippings, branches, and yard brush. Place leaves and yard debris in large paper bags. Do not use plastic bags. Tie branches with string. The maximum size for branches is three feet with a one-inch diameter.
