Summer Volunteers needed for Cal Poly Cat Program

Description

The Cal Poly Cat Program is in great need of summertime volunteers! The Cal Poly Cat Program has been working at a fast pace this year; we’ve TNR (trap, neutered, release) as of June over 140 feral cats, rescued over 50 kittens, and our shelter population is expanding weekly with adult/senior cats. Summer is just around the corner and many of our students will be heading home for the break. During this time is when community members are especially needed and most valued to continue maintaining the shelter and keeping the kitties fit and happy. The summer break goes from Saturday, June 5th until Sunday, September 19th. We'd be grateful if you can volunteer for the entire break, generally once a week, but if you're only available for a shorter period of time, that can work too. Either way we'd be delighted to have you join the team. Please visit our website, catprogram.calpoly.edu, to learn about our volunteer opportunities and for contact information to sign-up for training. It’s busy work providing a clean and healthy environment for the kitties but what a joyous feeling you’ll get when you see them find their new homes!
