Description

Have you always wanted to learn more about yoga? Have you always wanted yoga to be more a part of your life? After COVID, are you desperate to get your body healthy, flexible and vibrant again? Have you ever wanted to teach yoga, whether for your own business or for a studio? I am offering a yoga teacher training that costs a fraction of what most of them cost, and that teaches three different styles of yoga. The yoga teacher trainings I have looked at in the past have cost anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000. Plus the yoga teacher training I am offering is right here in San Diego--no need to travel anywhere--and it can be done while holding down a full-time job or raising children (as long as you can get away from everything from 6am-8am every weekday morning, because that's when the training is). Just come to class 2 hours 5 days a week for 5 months and learn A LOT about yoga. It's up to you if you want to do this just for your own development and growth, or if you want to share it with others as a teacher. I have been studying yoga for 29 years, and a certified teacher for 21 years. I credit yoga for helping me overcome an eating disorder and body dysmorphia, and for helping with me depression and anxiety. I credit yoga for eliminating back pain and helping me stay happy and energetic through the ups and downs of life. Yoga has helped me calm my mind, learn to meditate, and find inner peace. It has shown me a way to stay loving and peaceful in a world that can sometimes be sorta crazy! I can only take 10 people at this time, so please let me know a little about yourself, specifically: (a) how you learned about yoga; (b) why you want to study it more; (c) why you don't want to teach it (or why you do want to teach it); (d) what kind of yoga you do; (e) what you hope to gain from a yoga teacher training; (f) what specific things you would like to learn in the teacher training; (g) who your favorite teachers are--or what your favorite styles of yoga are; and (h) something about yourself that's not related to yoga stuff. I feel like there aren't enough hot yoga classes offered in San Diego County currently--even before the COVID lockdown--and I feel like there are so many people who need yoga but don't have a class near them that's affordable. I want to change all that by having a bunch of amazing teachers who can teach solid classes from 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday (and 8am to 4pm on weekends), such that every 2-3 hours people can take classes and have no guesswork involved--they know what they're gonna get at every single class, there are no surprises, there is no drama, there is no "this teacher is great, this teacher isn't" stuff going on because all the teachers are solid and all the classes are uniformly amazing. Just like you always know you're gonna get a great burger at In N Out--it doesn't matter who's working at the time, you just know you're gonna love that burger, each and every time--that 's how it's gonna be at my someday yoga studio--everyone at the studio knows they're gonna get a great class, no matter when they come in or what the name of the class is. I have had 2 yoga studios in the past--one was a hot yoga studio that I sold at a profit, and the other was an ashtanga yoga studio that I got out of with just the shirt on my back. What I learned from the second studio is "Don't do this alone--have friends and colleagues with you to buoy you up", and what I learned rom both studios is "Train your own teachers so you always have a great supply of amazing teachers to call on to teach classes." Because teaching all the classes yourself gets really tiring--both for me and for the students. I got freaked out by COVID so I didn't do much yoga from February 2020 till March 2021 so I am not in the greatest shape but--and you probably already know this--yoga isn't about being in great shape, it's about showing up on the mat and trying your best and experiencing the benefits just because you show up on your mat and breathe and move in a sacred and conscious way. I think that as we--as a society, as a community--come out of the pandemic, a lot of people are going to be looking for a way to get back in shape, in a way that is kind and gentle and caring and supportive. The price for the teacher training is only $300 a month. That's a total of $1500. There are no contracts, anyone can quit any time. But I don't think anyone will because there is so much value in this training--anatomy, chanting, breathwork, meditation, concentration, Sanskrit terms, health, spirituality. Not to mention lots of hands-on practice doing the yoga and experiencing the benefits first-hand! Most of the yoga teacher trainings I have seen cost $3,000 or more, so this is a complete STEAL!! I will start as soon as I have 5 or 8 people ready to start. Thank you for reading this. God bless. Namaste.
