I recently started following “DeTrashed” on Reddit and got inspired. For the past 3 weekends I’ve been visiting certain roadways and picking up garbage and litter. I only collect what I’m able to transport in my car to throw away in my home trash cans, and it’s been worthwhile to drive past the places I’ve been detrashing and seeing clean roadways.
If anyone would like to help on the weekends, let me know. I try to go in the mornings if the wind isn’t too bad. You definitely need heavy duty gloves or a claw grabber.
My next cleanup effort will be on Saturday, June 5th in the morning sometime. If you’d like to help out, shoot me a message and we can coordinate a time.
