Traditionally, the republicans represent the wealthy. The Republican Party has fought hard to protect land owners (wealthy people for hundreds of years. 234 to be exact. The irony here is that the majority of the republican parry are NOT wealthy people. The majority of the Republican Party are people who idolize the wealthy. The majority of the Republican Party are people who assume that wealthy hav heir best interest in mind. This has never proven to be true. Traditionally, the Democratic Party represents ALL Americans who are not extremely wealthy. The Democratic Party represents the 90% of this nation from the lowest incomes to the upper middle class. Much like a sports team, a nation is only as strong as its weakest member. It serves EVERY person within a nation to give the neediest a hand up rather than to oppress them. We each succeed when we all succeed. Life in America should not be viewed as a competition. It should be viewed s a collaboration.
