(Drums) are looking to add a Lead guitarist and a Bassist with stage presence to Explode The Myth, a new 4-piece, professionally driven project. In recent years we have been playing out consistently in Western Carolina with a variety of bands (together and separately). Built around the vibe of James' original material, the core of ETM's sound is Rock with hints of Americana, Celtic and Country rock mixed in.The goal is to play out 3 to 5 times per month from the outset; probably more often later on if the project really takes off. Though age is not a factor, we're looking to add mature, positive energy, quality musicians who are reliable, will put in some work on his/her own and will come to rehearsal prepared. Vocal ability is a plus, though certainly not required.While all band members will have input with regard to the song list as we progress, our initial show list is established (with a few reserves) and we're focusing on 37-40 songs so that on opening night we are tight, have good energy and can flow through the sets in a professional manner. The initial show is comprised of half originals and half (for the most part) of modernized takes on older, danceable rock songs. As we progress we will add more covers (and more of our own material) so that we can perform a mostly covers show or a mostly originals show depending on the venue and the audience.Mostly, we rehearse in a comfortable, well-equipped space (in Waynesville) at least once a week. Occasionally we may rehearse in Fairview. No chronic drug or alcohol issues.We are looking for a seasoned lead guitarist with vocal abilities to round out our four piece band. We have a drummer with background vocals, keyboardist that also plays rhythm guitar and sings, and a bass player with background vocals. The three of us have played in another band together and are now forming a new band. We rehearse in Mars Hill in a fully furnished recording studio and have everything available that a musician would need to practice and record. We are looking for a professional lead guitarist with their own pro gear and transportation that can commit to our project, and does not have other band obligations.
