Description
I have a young copper melanistic axolotl available. They are easy to care for.
Each axolotl needs 20 gallons, then add a min of 10 more per axolotl if housing multiples. You can only house same sized same gender ones together though.
They need cooler water 60-64, no water flow preferably (sponge filters), and they need more floor space vs height (a long vs a tall tank). I feed mine axolotl pellets, but worms are a great staple too. Bloodworms are only as a rare treat.
Absolutely no snails, gravel, or fish since it can cause impaction or the fish can hurt the axolotl. The only safe tank mates are ghost shrimp, guppies, and mollies.
If your interested in one let me know. (There’s only one left for $80 obo).
