Established group auditioning for guitar player. We’ve been playing together for 10+ years, and our current guitar player is moving out of state within a few months. Our group comprises drums, steel guitar, and bass. All members sing a relative equal amount, as well as adding harmonies to other songs. Ideally, we’re looking for a lead player with vocals – although a rhythm player who can perform an occasional lead may work also. Ability to sing a few songs and add harmonies to others is certainly a plus. We play a wide variety of music, including Hank, Johnny, Waylon, Willie, Kenny Rogers, Don Williams, Kentucky Headhunters, Brooks & Dunn, The Eagles, etc. Our gigs are primarily at Elks lodges, Moose lodges, American Legions, etc., along the northern Front Range, mostly Longmont/Loveland area. We try to cater to the dance crowd, playing shuffles, swings, waltzes, and the like. We’re not promoted as a variety band, but we play a wide range of music depending on the crowd. Now that places are starting to reopen slowly, we would like to start playing gigs a couple of times per month or so. We typically practice once per month or so. We’ll likely practice more often initially to get everyone up to speed with the new player. Age isn’t a huge factor for us, as we’ve played with younger players and experienced ones alike. It’s more important for us that you have some experience performing out, have some relative knowledge of our music style, and are able to bring some good playing/vocal ability to the group. We look forward to what a new member may bring to our group too. We all thoroughly enjoy playing together and making great music.
