Guitarist Looking To Join Or Start Orignials Rock Band

Greetings— I am a 50 year old guitarist new to the area. I would like to join or start a rock band that does original music. My influences range from KISS, Zep, AC/DC, Beatles, 80s rock/metal/hair bands, old country to newer stuff such as Halestorm, Rival Sons and Danko Jones. I enjoy writing and playinf groove based riff rock. My prior band for over ten years was Burnin’ Rope. If you are looking to combine drugs and alcohol with music, we are not a fit. I would like to find/start a project that is serious about writing/performing yet in it for fun. I have no visisons of “making it big” but want to have goals of recording albums and playing live. “Play for free I play for me!” While age is not terribly important, I would prefer to play with those closer in age to myself. I would also prefer a project with a female lead singer but, again, not a necessity. As I am new to the area, it will be fun finding passionate people about music. I have pro gear, a full time job, and transportation. All are basic musts. To be candid, I would call myself no better than an intermediate guitarist with some rust— the pandemic knocked the winds out of my sails. You need as well not be the next rock god— just a good person who enjoys creating music, is dedicated, and has a goal of getting better.
