Wilmington's Annual World Refugee Day Celebration This year we are celebrating the MANY successes of Wilmington's refugee community, as well as Global Connections' newly established Refugee Resettlement Support Center on Wrightsville Ave. For World Refugee Day we stand together to welcome refugees in Wilmington and to honor the strength, courage, and perservearance of millions of refugees worldwide. Food has a universal way of bringing people together. Please consider bringing a side item, main dish or dessert to share at out potluck backyard bbq. There will family-friendly games and crafts for kids, as well as water activities and an outdoor movie.
