Description
In case you missed it, here's a story that appeared last week in the Patchogue Patch:
BELLPORT, NY — Two Suffolk police officers rescued a mother duck and her ducklings in Bellport earlier this month.
The duck was near a storm drain in Wisteria Circle.
The officers discovered that several ducklings had fallen into the drain and couldn't get back out.
They removed the drain cover, grabbed a nearby pool skimmer, and rescued the trapped ducklings.
In a happy ending, the babies returned to their mother and they all waddled safely away.
