HIALEAH, FL — Two people were killed, and up to 25 injured, in a shooting during a concert at the El Mula Banquet Hall in Miami-Dade County near Hialeah. A white Nissan Pathfinder SUV pulled up to the banquet hall, three people got out and starting shooting into a crowd of concert-goers who were outside during the overnight hours early on Sunday, according to a Miami Herald report that cites local police sources. The banquet hall was rented out for the concert, the report states. Eight of the injured people were taken to Miami-Dade and Broward hospitals, according to the Miami Herald, as 12 others went to area hospitals on their own. The two fatal victims of the Hialeah banquet hall shooting died at the scene, The Associated Press reported. They had not been identified as of 3:30 p.m. Police had not made any arrests at that time, either. "These are cold-blooded murderers that shot indiscriminately into a crowd, and we will seek justice," Miami-Dade Police Director Alfredo Ramirez III said in a tweet. Police in Miami-Dade County consider the banquet hall shooting a "targeted" attack, CBS-4 reporter Jim DeFede tweeted Sunday afternoon. "Police believe this was a targeted attack because the three gunmen were sitting inside a white SUV in the parking lot for 40 minutes, waiting for those inside the club to leave, before emerging from the SUV and spraying the crowd with bullets," DeFede tweeted. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted about the shooting earlier on Sunday. "We mourn the loss of the two victims and are praying for the recovery of the more than 20 people injured at El Mula Banquet Hall near Hialeah. We are working with local authorities to bring justice to the perpetrators. Justice needs to be swift & severe!" DeSantis tweeted. Businessman and TV personality Marcus Lemonis, star of "The Profit," also took to Twitter to offer a $100,000 reward to help authorities capture the suspects. The Associated Press contributed reporting. This is a developing story. Refresh this page for updates.
