I'm swearing off dogs, because it turns out my whole family consists of "cat people". 🙄(Their words...) We need to find a home for our dog where he gets tons of attention and exercise. I feel he's just neglected here through no fault of his own. This little guy is 1.5 years old, and is a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix. Don't let his size fool you! He's super muscular and loves to walk and hike. Whatever your activity level, he can keep up with you! I am specifically looking for someone who hikes or takes very long walks and does so OFTEN. He really NEEDS daily exercise. We got him as a pup in March 2020, seriously a few days before Covid hit Montana. As a result, he wasn't well socialized, and WILL BE shy for at least a little while around someone new. He has, however, been raised with cats and children of all ages, and does well with both. He really likes other dogs, too, once he gets to know them, which generally takes a day or two. He needs to be brought utd on shots, and I REALLY want him to go to a new owner who can take him to get neutered. He has been "marking" in one place in the house. It's where the cats have their food, and I believe it's a show of dominance. I've been advised that neutering would help put an end to this (as would, I suppose, him being in a house where there isn't competition). I am not looking for a home where he will get less love than here. I am not looking for a home where paying to take care of him will be a bigger strain than it is for us. I'm searching for an upgrade in his life, and am willing to be patient until the right home comes along. He is handsome, sweet, not a yapper, and really, really just wants a best friend he can snuggle with and go on adventures with. Comes with his little kennel and toys and all supplies. $100 rehoming.
