"Scientific thinking may be the best way we have of navigating through unpredictable territory to achieve challenging goals". Mike Rother, The Toyota Kata Practice Guide. Toyota Kata is a way to realize Scientific Thinking, it consists of the Improvement Kata and the Coaching Kata. This hands-on activity illustrates the four-step Improvement Kata pattern and helps participants recognize that any idea we have needs to be tested – no matter how sure we feel. During this activity, participants will use a scientific pattern to: Experimentally navigate their way towards the DirectionFacilitate team empowermentDelivering at the rate of demandRedefining manager's role as team coach for ongoing experimentation Sameh coaches product teams and their leaders to adopt Scientific Thinking and Lean – as the way of work. Often organizations implement Agile frameworks in ways not helping in tackling complexity inherent in product development. Scientific Thinking using Toyota Kata enables framing the work as experimentation. I coach leaders to become the daily coaches of their teams on Scientific Thinking.
