Description

Butterfly Gardens for Central Florida Saturday, June 26, 2021 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Instructor: Robert Bowden It's simple to fill your landscape with fluttering rainbows and you don't need a ton of space -- just a few of the right plants, a sunny spot, and a little patience. By meeting just a few of a butterfly’s basic needs you can create a “best-on-the-block” butterfly garden. Both caterpillar plants and nectar plants will be discussed in this fun filled presentation by Leu Garden’s Executive Director, Robert Bowden. Robert Bowden is the Director of Leu Gardens and author of Florida Top Ten Garden Guide and Florida Fruit and Vegetable Gardening: Plant, Grow, and Harvest the Best Edibles by Cool Springs Press. Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit.  If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit. Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom.  Childcare services are not provided. Beautiful Harry P. Leu Gardens is a 50-acre botanical oasis minutes north of downtown Orlando. Each individual garden is designed to further our mission: promote the awareness and understanding of plants. Harry P. Leu Gardens offers a wide array of classes and events for horticulture, landscaping and fine arts for children and adults. Located at 1920 N. Forest Avenue, Orlando FL, 32803.
