HOOKSETT, NH — A Dover man is scheduled to be in court in September after being accused of drunken driving into a building in Hooksett on Sunday. Police, at just before 1 a.m., were sent to the Starbucks on Hooksett Road for a report of a crash. When the first officer arrived, he found a white 2013 Subaru FR-S had been driven through the front door of the building and was partially inside. An investigation of the incident, police said, found the driver, later identified as Ashlin Turner, 41, of Dover, had been traveling south on Hooksett Road when "he crossed the median, striking street signs, before traveling into the northbound lane." After that, "he continued through the parking lot of the Starbucks and drove through the front door, coming to rest with the vehicle partially inside," police said. The Starbucks was unoccupied at the time of the crash. Police accused Turner of "exhibiting signs of impairment" and after a field sobriety test, he was arrested. He was accused of also refusing a breath test. Turner was treated for minor injuries by Hooksett fire and rescue teams before being arrested. He was released on personal recognizance and is in Hooksett Circuit Court on Sept. 23.
