garage-like, punky soul cover band

Description

Older guy here, late 50s (ugh) looking to start a garage-like, punky cover band doing soul and some select pop songs. I have a decent voice so I'll take lead vocals. I can play guitar (passable I hope). So I'm looking for a bass player and drummer to start so we could be a three-piece but hopefully a good lead guitarist or keyboard player might want to try this and fill in the gaps. I've got a bass someone could use if they're normally a guitar player. No place to practice. I'm new to DC so hoping there are practice rental places with backline. Thinking covers of: I can’t Stand The Rain, by Ann Peebles https://youtu.be/g5Rjo_imHDE Don't leave me this way. Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes https://youtu.be/5CzQBi32MjI Love's a losing Game, Amy Winehouse https://youtu.be/nMO5Ko_77Hk I've got Dreams, Otis Redding https://youtu.be/i2RGu1v5388 Sweet Soul Music The Jam’s cover (this is the style I'm shooting for) https://youtu.be/7uJjKa0Or5U Eurythimics Obsession https://youtu.be/o6f593X6rv8 Heatwave (The Jam's Version) https://youtu.be/_1uOi39rjf0
