Description

Hey there - multi instrumentalist (guitar/bass/drums/keys in order of preference) lookin for new folks to play with and hopefully turn into a band with some recording and local gigs. I have space in my home to practice with guitar amps, a bass amp, and and a drum kit (BYO breakables if you drum) but would prefer to go in on a dedicated practice space if things work out. Looking to play with musicians in the ballpark of my age range (mid 20’s - late 30’s) but that’s not 100% set in stone (but bc of Boston’s venue restrictions please be 21+). Mostly care about folks who can bring a good attitude, vibe, and want to have fun writing, recording, and performing. I’ve played in a few local bands before and hope to find others who’ve had some experience doing it too (if this is your first gigging band be ready to learn a shit ton and put in the effort) No hard drugs or issues with alcohol please. (420 friendly + beer during practice is ok). No racist/sexist/trans-phobic/homo-phobic folk either - I’m a cis woman and have many lovely trans and queer friends who I care about and support my music, so if you’re expecting a bro fest this just ain’t for you. :) I’ll shoot you back some things I’ve worked on in the past. I’m flexible on what instrument I play and care more about the people mix than playing something specific. I love psych rock, post punk, and dance punk a lot and would be lookin to jam out on some ideas and turn them into songs (not looking to do a jam band but it’s just part of my process to try a lot of stuff and narrow it down) Influences: king gizzard, Death Valley Girls, LA Witch, blackwater holylight, kyuss, The Who, Shannon and the clams, can, earthless, the hives, the cure, bush tetras, delta 5, siouxie and the banshees, joy division, bloc party, the rapture, yeah yeah yeahs Write back with a lil bit about yourself (where you’re from, what you’re looking for in a new band etc) and what you’re up for playing
