Are you off of school for the summer and looking to earn some money while working at a growing company? Can you stand for a long period of time with no problem? Do you like the cold? Our Summer Packing Associate role might be the role for you! Element Farms is looking for reliable Summer Packing Associates to help us pack our pesticide-free, safe, and delicious greens. Part-time packers can work consistent morning shifts, afternoon shifts, or a combination of shifts. Part-time shifts are from 8 AM - 2 PM and 2 PM - 6:30 PM. Full-time shifts are 8 AM - 6 PM. If you’re looking for part-time, please note that we are currently prioritizing afternoon shifts. As a Summer Packing Associate, you’ll work with our packing team in our temperature-controlled (read: chilly) packing area with the rest of our packing team. You’ll bundle up and work quickly and efficiently to pack plastic salad containers by hand. You’ll be standing for your entire shift and we’ve got mats to go under your feet. You’ll have a morning paid break, an unpaid lunch break, and sometimes our team might even let you choose the day’s soundtrack. Pay is two times per month via direct deposit. Benefits are available for full-time employees after a 60-day waiting period. Element Farms reimburses for certain pre-approved gear expenses (specific warm clothes, work boots) and provides you with plenty of free salad greens. You’re a great fit if you’re ready to work! Warehouse, food service, or factory experience is a plus but not required. Tasks include: -Packing greens -Weighing packages -Sticking labels/stickers -Counting cases -Adhering to food safety -Maintaining a clean work environment -Working in accordance with all safety regulations of the greenhouse packing area Attire: -Layers! Our packing room is a cold room so layers are a must! -You must wear a hat, a baseball cap is preferred -Long hair must be tied back -Closed-toe shoes required -Shirts must cover full shoulders; NO tank tops Requirements: -A reliable way to get to work -Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs -Ability to stand for your shift COVID-19 Information: -PPE available -Element Farms sanitizes surfaces throughout the day -We adhere to food safety protocols Compensation: $12 / hr
