Cemetery Preservationist Specialist, Jarrod Roll, will teach the proper techniques of grave marker cleaning and preservation Learn about gravestone preservation. Each participant will get a gravestone cleaning kit . The workshop will begin with a presentation and then move on to hands on cleaning. Expect to get a little dirty! Topics to be discussed include preservation ethics and safety and stone types and meaning. About Jarrod Roll: Jarrod is Director of the Monroe County Local History Room & Museum in Sparta, WI. He is a regional expert on cemetery preservation and owner of Save our Stones gravestone cleaning. Open daily for self-guided tours or recreation Joggers, dog walkers, bicyclists and birders are all welcome.
