Project Open Hand will bring a neon sign to the neighborhood. The sign will be lit by Supervisor Matt Haney and other dignitaries. Project Open Hand has occupied its headquarters for over 20 years. Project Open Hand has been designated a Legacy Business in the Tenderloin, and with 125 employees provides over 1 million meals a year to SF and Oakland older adult residents, and those with chronic illnesses or disabilities. The sign will be a beacon for a vibrant, safe and secure neighborhood. The sign will be lit at 8:00PM. The first 75 registrants to this event will receive a commemorative T-Shirt to be distributed following the sign lighting ceremony.
