Description

Gain a deeper understanding of what makes brewing devices different from one another. In this 90 minute workshop, we'll discuss the three main brewing methods (drip, immersion, and pressure) and how those methods affect the flavor and texture of brewed coffee. The first 30 minutes of the workshop will be a lecture covering the basic science of coffee extraction. We'll spend the remaining time brewing the same coffee across three different devices (Kalita dripper, French press, and espresso machine) and comparing the sensory attributes of each brewing method.
