Description
Attempting to rehome a three-year-old red heeler. He is a wonderful boy and a one-person dog. Would not do well with small kids pulling on him or in his face. He is so averse to thunder/lightning and fireworks that he has to be in a small space with his person during the event. He is not an apartment pup. He is not a couch potato. He has to be included in everything you do and cannot be left at home alone for an 8-10 hour workday, let alone a weekend getaway. He is a fantastic guard dog. No one will enter his area without a considerable response. He is pretty well potty trained. He doesn't have accidents so much as he has had a gastric episode not attributed to his behavior but an evening of extended thunderstorm activity and has occasionally made a mark with pee in an area that a cat marked previously. He loves other dogs and cats. He doesn't chew, dig or make a nuisance of himself except for tennis balls and frisbees. He has an obsession with fetch. He is capable of playing longer than you can throw either. A re-home fee of $400.00 would be required. The fee will be donated to the animal advocacy group of your choice in your name and his. His ideal home would be with someone who has a large place for him to roam and plenty of time to have him under your feet.
