Press release from Seattle Public Schools: 05/28/2021 At the onset of COVID restrictions, we closed our playgrounds and fields to public use. The district made this decision in coordination with the City of Seattle and King County Public Health for several reasons. Most importantly, we do not have the resources to provide a safe environment and to control social distancing. COVID conditions are monitored daily regarding our playgrounds and fields, as well as how our schools are operating. This press release was produced by Seattle Public Schools.
