Press release from the Portsmouth Police Department: May 28, 2021 On May 26, 2021 at approximately 8:43 am, the Portsmouth Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to Feaster Apartments located at 140 Court Street for a well-being check on a female. On scene it was determined the female was deceased. The female was identified as 56-year old Deborah Miller. On May 26, 2021 at approximately 8:43 am, the Portsmouth Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to Feaster Apartments located at 140 Court Street for a well-being check on a female. On scene it was determined the female was deceased. The female was identified as 56-year old Deborah Miller. An investigation is being conducted by the Portsmouth Police Department's Investigative Division and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. While the cause and manner of the death will ultimately be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, based on the investigation to-date, the death appears to be the result of a drug overdose.
