PHOENIX, AZ — A newborn baby was found dead inside a bag behind some bushes, Phoenix police said. The newborn was found near 25th and Peoria avenues at 6:30 a.m. Friday and apparently died there before officers found it, police said. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of death. No suspects were named or charged, police said. Anyone with information about the newborn baby's death was asked to call Phoenix police at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
