Description
Looking for serious players for something new. Been playing/performing/recording bluegrass at professional level for over 20 years. Would love to build out a true honky tonk and/or bluegrass/bluegrass adjacent band.
Seeking some combo of: Pedal Steel, Bass, Drums (maybe), Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Fiddle, Cello, Dobro.
Don’t take this the wrong way but not interested in a Lumineers style band. Either straight grass, driving newgrass, or serious Honky Tonk.
Looking for players that understand the subtleties and traditional ways to play these genres. Not that we have to obsessively recreate a sound but knowing the history and technique is important.
Bands/Artists that hopefully we both find inspiration from:
Bill Monroe, Stanley Bros, JD Crowe, Johnson Mtn Boys, Tony Rice, Bela Fleck, David Grier, Tim O’Brien,
Buck Owens, Ray Price, Merle, Marty Stuart, Dwight Yoakam, Lyle Lovett, Paul Cauthen, Justin Townes Earl, Luke Bell
I have rehearsal space, gear, etc.
Holler!
