SOUS CHEF for Food Prep and Plating for Food Videos

Short Term Gig Position - 2 to 4 event dates We are seeking a SOUS CHEF to support an Executive Chef in food preparation, demonstration of professional cooking techniques and plating food for photography. We are creating a series of videos and taking professional food photos for a new cookbook and website, and need professional-level cooking support for the sessions. Videos of the Sous Chef will be limited to the hands and body. No speaking or acting is required. The schedule is currently tentative, but need someone with daytime available for 2 to 4 days over the next 30 to 45 days. Most Important Skills Required: * Beautiful, professional level plating. Please provide photos of your work along with resume. * Great knife skills with consistent cuts and the ability to demonstrate these skills on video. * Understanding of preparing meats (cuts, cleaning, etc.) * Ability to follow instructions (we need the Chef to follow the steps of the recipes as closely as possible). * Reliability! We are coordinating schedules between the Chef, Sous Chef, Videographers and Photographer. If you are chosen, and commit to the date, it is critical that you show up on time and ready to work. Qualifications: * Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields * Great attitude! A video set can be stressful with many things happening at once, so need someone who will keep a light attitude, adjust and go with the flow. * Demonstrated advanced plating skills. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment If interested, please provide resume, photos of plating work and references. Filming/Cooking will occur in a private residence in North Scottsdale. Hourly pay DOE. BONUS paid of $100 cash upon completion of the series if you show up on time, as scheduled, for all requested cooking sessions (we expect this to be between 2 and 4 sessions over the next 30-45 days).
