Performs any work necessary on a 14-acre ranch and home in the rolling hills of Georgetown, CA. We are a full time, year-round family-run organization whose mission is to provide an animal and nature sanctuary for special events for foster children and families and public farm days. If you are a self-motivated employee who is looking to care-take a property, three horses, dogs and a few cats as your own, this is a job for you! Responsibilities (included but not limited to): Caring for animals, horse riding and/basic training/exercising on a regular basis Administering medications to animals, cleaning pens, corrals and living areas Groundskeeping, Landscaping, Pruning, & Gardening Property Maintenance – physical & mechanical Fencing installation & upkeep Troubleshooting mechanical issues Knowledge and experience operating tractors Maintaining a clean work and property environment Small engine repairs Use of chainsaw and other power tools Fleet maintenance Runs errands as needed Assisting in projects & events Qualifications/Requirements: Spanish speaking required Ability to communicate in English (basic level)-orally and in writing 2+ years at ranch or similar maintenance position 2+ years recent horse riding experience and care of equines Valid driver’s license Must have proof of authorization to work in the United States Must be 18 years or older, non‐smoker and drug-free Ability to clear background check and pass drug screening Landscaping and knowledge of plant care – irrigation knowledge Excellent mechanical skills Experience mixing and pouring concrete preferred Hands on electrical experience preferred Carpentry knowledge and skills Resourceful and flexible with changes and tasks Able to troubleshoot and resolve problems Ensures safety and creates a cleanly appearance of person and space Must love animals!!
