Our client, a prominent food production company in the southbay of Los Angeles has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Supervisor. The position would be responsible for the overall daily operations of the maintenance department by modifying, repairing, maintaining and providing support of the production machinery and/or equipment. •Must have previous food manufacturing/production background (preferably conveyor-belt) •5+ years experience in manufacturing machinery and/or equipment •Must be able to lift up to 60lbs GENERAL DUTIES: •Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of all production machinery/equipment. •Ensures that preventative maintenance of machinery/equipment has been performed. •Performs hourly/daily visual inspection of the machinery/equipment for any malfunctions or abnormalities in order to make certain that target of 2% total downtime is kept to overall operation. •Verifies that machinery/equipment is equipped with appropriate safety covers/guards and all safety devices are operating properly. •Provides guidance, training, support and assistance to other mechanic/electricians as needed. •Responsible for maintenance staff completing opening/closing daily checklist. •Responsible for completing work reports at the completion of each day. •Provides specific training (buddy system) when assigned to regular full time and temporary personnel with regards to the mechanical operations of the processing and packaging machinery/equipment, including efficiently maintaining the production process in accordance to company specifications.
