All Star Labor & Staffing is hiring for multiple farm labor positions in the Woodburn, OR area. Payrate depends on position, experience and shift, it can range from $13.90 to $18.00 or more an hour. Ranch Foreman Level 1 All Star Labor & Staffing is hiring for a full-time ranch foreman who is available to work in the Woodburn area and is comfortable working with chickens and farm labor. Main Functions include: • Ensure hens have feed, water and are set with appropriate temperature and air • Ensure feed inventory is full to ensure hens are eating properly • Care for sick birds or euthanize when appropriate • Clean fans and fan louvers regularly • Ensure all houses are clean and maintained throughout day • Monitor rodent traps and fly activity and fill reports as needed • Monitor egg belts and elevators for egg jams • Flush water lines regularly • Weigh hens weekly and fill reports as needed • Vaccinate or provide vitamins for layers in water systems when required and fill reports as needed • Follow all OSHA safety regulations and procedures, follow UEP, HFAC, FDA, rules, and regulations • Manage Manure Experience/Skills Required • Ability to oversee living conditions • Basic repair and maintenance skills • Ability to work in environment with caged and uncaged birds or aviary system. • Be aware of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere, and equipment • Attention to detail as well as hand/eye/foot coordination • Basic English • Fine motor skills • Knowledge about biosecurity for health of the birds This job is Monday – Saturday and must be open to working nights. Pay rate is $13.90 Service Crew Foreman All Star Labor & Staffing is hiring for a full-time ranch foreman who is available to work in the Woodburn area and is comfortable working with chickens and farm labor. Main functions include: • Follow all safety, animal welfare, code of conduct, and biosecurity rules • Accurately complete all reports and forms • Place baby chicks into brooder homes • Beak trimming vaccinations • Remove birds form cages and load onto carts • Be able to push loaded carts 500+ ft • Unload and load carts of eggs onto trucks • Remove spent hens from layer houses • Clean lay and brooder houses Experience/Skills Required: • Comfortable handling poultry • Strong communication both verbal and in writing • Must be able to lift(50lbs), bend, and twist • Push loaded carts (750 lbs) up to 500ft • Open to working irregular hours, including weekends • Ability to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time. • Familiar with using hand tools, high pressure air and water hoses • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment that is dusty and wet This job is Monday – Saturday and must be open to working nights. Pay rate is $13.90 Fly Control Operative All Star Labor & Staffing is hiring for a full-time Fly Control Operative Worker who is available to work in the Woodburn area and is comfortable working with chickens and farm labor. Main Functions include: • Clean poultry house • Understand Fly reports to help with relief and management • Remove dead birds from cages if needed • Report and fix egg jams if needed • Report all burnt out light bulbs, clean water, and feed • Shovel and clean manure off walkways • Monitor and replace rodent bait • Maintain a clean environment • Record daily activities on fly control inside and out of houses and fill out pesticide forms • Must be OK with mixing/using different types of chemicals • Ability to read instructions to set up fly bait • Correctly wear PPE Experience/Skills Required: • Varied experience in farm work • Any equivalent combination of training and experience • Good communication (Written/Verbal) skills, able to communicate in Spanish and or English to employees and management. • Must be able to lifts 50 lbs. and agile. • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. • Must be able to reach, bend, twist and lift above the head. • Must be able to work in various climate conditions. • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed. • •Preferred but not required to have a valid state issued class C driver’s license. Pay rate is $13.90 Sanitation Technician All Star Labor and Staffing is hiring for employees who are looking for a full-time position and can work in the Woodburn area for a sanitation crew. Main functions include: • Sanitizing the plant for the next shift • Be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly • Stand for long periods of time • Using high pressure water hoses as well as high pressure air • Working in a wet environment • Open to working night shifts • Proper use of authorized chemicals • Be able to bend, and twist if needed • Basic math skills required Experience/Skills required: • Follow all safety rules and regulations • ODL preferred but not required • Be able to accurately complete forms and reports • Comply with USDA, SQF, UEP and Food Defense regulations and policies • Perform tasks requested by supervisor(s) • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) • Follow all Biosecurity and Codes of Conduct • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment • Always maintain a clean and organized work area This job typically runs for 6 days with Sundays off starting @8am. Start pay is $13.90 Maintenance Technician All Star Labor & Staffing is hiring for a Maintenance Technician in the Woodburn area. The Essential Functions for the position: • Under general supervisor, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery (i.e. mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, conveying systems, etc.) using blueprint and schematic drawings to ensure equipment is preforming safely to require specifications • Identify root cause of basic mechanical issues and performs repairs by welding, fabricating part, basic pipefitting or replacing defective component; notify appropriate personnel if further attention is required • Identify unsafe conditions and corrects; reports to appropriate personnel if unable to correct on own • Assist with maintaining a file of blueprints and operating manuals and procedures as needed • Maintain records of preventative maintenance and repairs • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate is required • Class C Driver License is required • Ability to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments, walking, climbing (ladders and stairs), standing for long periods of time, height up to 175’ and able to work in confined spaces.
