When discussing serious matters hinging upon rule of law, it's incumbent upon those participating in the conversation to know the bounds of jurisdiction. While the riots of last year are a point of serious concern, they're not analogous to what happened on 1/6/21; 1. at no point was there the remotest of possibilities that BLM protests which devolved into rioting could topple the federal government, 2. said riots -with the exception of what happened in Portland with the federal courthouse (the FBI's jurisdiction) are state-level matters rather than the domain of the federal government.
