Austin Yard Barber is a small landscape design and build company. We provide general landscaping including design, custom steel work, patio construction, retaining walls, garden beds, planting, irrigation maintenance, tree trimming, sodding, pathways, and outdoor living construction. We are currently looking for experienced landscape techs. Landscape Tech will perform general landscape duties and follow direction of foreman. This position will cover many aspects of the landscaping construction industry. Applicants should have a working knowledge of basic construction including but not limited to: Driving a trailer, using a string/chalk line properly, operating a level (laser/String/Standard), compaction/tamping, trenching, handheld power tools, mulch application, properly planting, grading, reading basic plans, etc. Job Requirements: - Must be reliable and punctual. - Must have valid Driver License and clean driving record. - General knowledge of outdoor power equipment. - Ability to take direction well. - Great Attitude towards Co-workers & Clients - Must be able to lift 80 lbs. - Must have reliable transportation. - 2 years experience in landscaping, construction, or equivalent. This position is for 35-40 hrs/week and will start at $16-$18/hr depending on experience. This job is not for everyone and requires versatility. Most days are physically demanding and require repeated heavy lifting. Texas Summers can be brutal. All applicants should be familiar with working in such conditions. Most days though are a mix of several different jobs that are rewarding to those who enjoy working outside and building great spaces.
