Beyond the Sunset is a motorcycle ride and fundraising event to remember Tony Zaffrann and Brett Tjaden, and support The Be Still Project. We all know someone whose life has been affected by the many faces of struggling mental health. Tony Zaffrann was a wonderful person who was always ready and willing to cheer you up or help you out. He loved sharing the things that brought him joy, especially motorcycle riding. But, he wasn't without his demons, and alcoholism became a real challenge for him. Although he found strength and sobriety through AA, there were days it wasn't enough. On July 13, 2020, he passed away in a motorcycle accident. At his celebration of life, his loved ones hosted a motorcycle ride, sparking the idea that an annual fundraising event to make a difference in his memory would help people who need it most. Founded in memory of Brett, another young soul lost way too soon, The Be Still Project, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that connects those struggling with mental health and substance use issues with resources that will improve their overall quality of life.
