Freedom Run is hosted by Freedom Dreamers Collaborative. Freedom Run is a community event to raise funds for summer camp at Harlem Park. Freedom Dreamers Collaborative (FDC) was formed by a group of four talented Baltimore City teachers during the Covid 2019 pandemic crisis. The teachers formed FDC because they wanted to do more for students and families than what currently exists within the current educational infrastructure. The teachers wanted to create a sense of mattering within their community. Freedom Dreamers Collaborative’s mission is to create spaces that see and value communities of color and provide access to tools and/or opportunities for them to thrive. Through collaborative spaces that address the dimensions of wellness within communities of color, Freedom Dreaming Collaborative seeks to amplify voices, provide joy, a sense of mattering, self-love, and self-determination.
