Join Downtown Lafayette for a Lunch & Learn featuring SO Studio and Makemade who will discuss wayfinding coming soon to downtown. As DDA and DLU strive to make downtown more welcoming, walkable, and vibrant, we are excited introduce Route Lafayette, the wayfinding system that will be installed throughout Downtown Lafayette in 2021. What can attendees expect? Professionals from SO Studio and Makemade, two businesses behind the creation of "Route Lafayette", will talk about their work to develop a comprehensive wayfinding strategy that will help unify and improve downtown's sense of place. What is wayfinding? Simply put, wayfinding is a set of tools, usually graphics or architectural designs, that help navigate a visitor to their desired destination. Why is wayfinding important? Good architectural wayfinding allows individuals to navigate built environments with ease and confidence. It helps people familiarize themselves with the features, amenities, and function of the space they find themselves in. Attend this lunch and learn to find out what Route Lafayette will look like and where and how it will be deployed! This event will be held in-person at Rock'N'Bowl de Lafayette. Not a member?
