Local Triad Refugees display their artwork in honor of World Refugee Day
June 20th is World Refugee Day, an international day which is organized by the United Nations and designed to celebrate and honor refugees around the world. In honor of this event, local refugee support groups have joined to celebrate art work from refugees in Guilford County by presenting their artwork at the first Triad Refugee Art Exhibit. This event will share refugees’ contributions to the diverse and rich cultural heritage of the Triad area.
North Carolina African Services Coalition (NCASC) is an IRS recognized 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides services to refugees, asylees, and human trafficking victims who settle in Greensboro, NC. NCASC helps refugees with finding a place to live, offers services that lead to employment, and provides information on resettlement and the workings of American life.
