Sixties Rock & Roll Concert with three national acts featuring headliner Larry Tamblyn of THE STANDELLS , and two more great national acts BACK TO THE SIXTIES Hosted and MC'd by: Wolfman Jack (Jack Leary) Arrive early (6:30) and join the stars at the MEET & GREET Show begins at 7:30 PM Three National Recording ActsThe Star Theater in Oceanside is an intimate 500 seat venue where there is not a bad seat in the house. The theater is a 1950's vintage historic landmark that still has the original charm of yesteryear. Headliner: Larry Tamblyn of the StandellsThe song "Dirty Water" from 1966 was a big hit then, and still today resonates with all who love sixties rock and roll music. The headlining act LARRY TAMBLYN, co-Founder of THE STANDELLS , "Dirty Water" will perform all his hit songs and more at the Star Theatre in Oceanside. California. Cannibal and the HeadhuntersThis act will stir up your teenage emotions and will bring you back to memories of your first love, or your first rock and roll show that you attended as a teenager. Everyone from 50-80 will remember the Los Angeles singing sensation, CANNIBAL AND THE HEADHUNTERS, "Land of 1000 Dances". in 1966 the song was their first big hit. In the sixties they opened for the Beatles on tour. They are still performing and wowing their audiences nationwide. The Original StarfiresTHE ORIGINAL STARFIRES are comprised of former members of several national recording 1960's groups, plus other band members who toured with countless name acts. Former groups are The Mamas and the Papas, The Buckinghams, Peter Baumann's former lead singer of the MTV video "Strangers in the Night", and Spanky and Our Gang. One female member toured as a vocalist and keyboardist with the Buckinghams for three years on the Turtles "Happy Together Tour", and recorded an album plus a duet with Gary Puckett of The Union Gap. CONCERT TO BENEFIT WOUNDED WARRIOR HOMES (WWH)The BACK TO THE SIXTIES concert will benefit WOUNDED WARRIOR HOMES (WWH) a non-profit organization located right here in north county San Diego. WWH provides housing and other benefits for our Iraq and Afghanistan veterans suffering with PTSD and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Without donations and benefit concerts, WWH would not be able to provide those services to our veterans. This concert is an excellent way to give financial support and also enjoy a great concert. Rock & Roll concerts with national entertainersWe produce and promote concerts for non-profit organizations who assist our military veterans.
