Presenter Michael Mann, CPP®, PSP®, CDEP has gained valuable experience in conducting anti-terrorism and physical protection operations for three decades. Michael conducted anti-terrorism operations in the United States and Central America while serving as a member of the United States Marine Corps Fleet-Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST); he conducted law enforcement operations in support of combating anti-Semite and other violent groups and successfully completed assignments in uniformed services, criminal intelligence and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT); and Michael served as a Special Response Team (SRT) Area Commander for the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Federal Protective Forces (FPF). Michael also has extensive experience in designing armed response programs for private Christian schools and churches, and he designed and managed physical protection programs for critical infrastructure including the chemical sector; emergency services sector; and the nuclear reactors, materials and waste sector. Michael has Master of Science (MS) in Security and Risk Management; a Certificate in Terrorism Studies from the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence, University of St. Andrews, and he studied terrorism and behavior-based threat detection techniques at Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel. Michael is also a 32- year student, practitioner and teacher of modern pistol craft and self- defense. Michael is the owner and lead consultant for Michael Mann Security Services, an independent security management firm that specializes in providing churches, private schools and ministries with comprehensive protection strategies.
