Competitive salary Medical Dental Vision Supplemental health plans Company-paid Life insurance 401K The Shipping Clerk I ensures that inventory is up to date and that outgoing products are properly packed for shipment. This position is responsible for the loading of materials being shipped out. The Shipping Clerk I verifies that all orders being shipped out are sent with the correct materials. Responsibilities: • Keep secure records of outgoing inventory and activity logs • Pack materials • Maintain quality control of goods by verifying outgoing shipments • May schedule shipments • Prepare and/or sign off on shipping documents • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Report any damaged stock or equipment to manager • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs • Ensure that packing material and/or hazardous waste is safely disposed of • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) • Excellent understanding of warehouse inventory and management • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent organization skills • Superior customer service skills • Excellent problem-solving skills • Good computer skills • Ability to operate warehouse machinery, such as forklifts • Detail-oriented • Great multi-tasker
