MELROSE, MA — City Hall will get back to its normal, pre-pandemic operating hours beginning June 1. "I am happy to say we have turned a corner in the pandemic and that we are able to open our doors to the public full time," said Mayor Paul Brodeur in a news release. City Hall will be closed Monday for Memorial Day but reopen Tuesday. The building closed last March and reopened to the public in late July with limited hours. The mask mandate will be dropped as the state adopts Centers for Disease Control guidelines in lifting many COVID-19 restrictions this weekend. People will also be able to enter and exit through any door and no longer need to sign in. City Hall hours will be Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Mike Carraggi can be reached at [email protected].
