Description

To the Editor: Here is the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our newly reopened Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education. We are so grateful for your support, cheering on the Museum as we enter a new phase of our institution. We are truly a place built by community, for community. Today, more than ever, we know how important this space and our mission are. After a year when the pandemic has allowed hateful ideology and scapegoating to rise, once again, there is much work to do. Now, we are so fortunate to continue that work from a brand new, state-of-the-art facility that will make our work more accessible to all who wish to learn. This new exhibit we have worked so hard on, ensures that we will have the most comprehensive and valuable teaching tool for our patrons – who can visit us in person or virtually. Our custom education programs combined with this new facility help position us, and our amazing hosts here at Rockland Community College, as leaders in the fields of Holocaust and Genocide education. Together we will achieve great things in this new place. We will learn together. We will build bonds. We will question what we thought we knew. And we will grow, striving for a better tomorrow. We cannot wait to welcome you into our space, your space. Please stay tuned for news on booking tours and visiting the Museum, as safety and public health guidance allows. In the meantime, thank you again for your support – we truly would not be here without your support. Yours In Gratitude, Andrea Myer-Winograd Executive Director
