Man Who Attacked Harlem Subway Worker Is Sought, Police Say

HARLEM, NY — Police asked for help this week identifying a man accused of punching an MTA worker in a Harlem subway station on Sunday. The alleged assault happened around 12:30 a.m. at the Harlem–148th Street station. The victim, a 32-year-old MTA worker, had asked a disruptive passenger to get off the train, according to the Daily News. The two men got into an argument, and the suspect then punched the MTA worker in the face, knocking him to the ground, then kicked him as he lay on the floor, according to police. The suspect fled on foot, while the worker was treated at a hospital for bruising and swelling. Police on Thursday shared surveillance footage showing the assault and the suspect fleeing the station.
