100 Ridgefield High School Students Earn Language Honors

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield High School has announced that 100 seniors have been awarded The Seal of Biliteracy. The honor is given to students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. Students must have completed all English-language arts requirements for graduation with an overall grade point average of 2.0 or above in those classes. Students must also demonstrate proficiency in one or more languages other than English. Allyson Power, chair of the RHS World Language Department, said: "The Seal of Biliteracy encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills our students attain, and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices."
