Description
Bielefelders are large, docile, dual-purpose chickens from Germany. The breed is relatively new and rare in the USA, and is rapidly gaining popularity. My birds are from stock imported from Germany in 2011 and 2013.
Bielefelders are great foragers, grow quickly, and get fat on pasture. Hens lay about 230 brown eggs a year, at about 60g each. This breed is auto-sexing, which means you can tell male and female chicks apart at hatching.
I have a small breeding flock of Bielefelders, and have too many roosters for my number of hens. The roosters are peaceful and gentle. I let my multi-rooster flock run with banties and ducks, and have never had issues with bullying or aggression.
It’s hard to let go of this boy, and I want to see him join another flock as a pet or breeder. I can also offer some fertile purebred eggs with him if you’d like to get started with the breed.
Absolutely no cockfighting. I’m asking a $30 adoption fee, 4H/FFA discount available. If your situation changes and you can no longer keep him, kindly return him to me. I will take him back no questions asked.
