SHOREWOOD, IL — Skooter's Roadhouse employee Kristanie Hambrick of Shorewood was arrested this week in connection with charges of unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor, the Illinois State Police announced Friday in a news release. Employees at a total of five businesses in the Plainfield and Shorewood area were cited for selling alcohol to someone who is under the age of 21, police annonced. The Illinois State Police said it conducted a sting Wednesday evening "to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors." Of the 24 businesses that were visited, five were busted for selling alcohol to minors, Illinois State Police announced: Circle K, 201 Brookforest, ShorewoodBP Amoco, 312 E. Jefferson St., ShorewoodSkooter's 700 W. Jefferson, Shorewood,Cheap Cheap Liquor, 2211 S. Route 59, PlainfieldDiscount Liquors, 16200 S. Lincoln Hwy, PlainfieldAlthough Cheap Cheap Liquor has a Plainfield mailing address, it's actually in the city of Joliet. Besides Hambrick, the 26-year-old Skooter's employee, the other people being charged with unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor are: Discount Liquors employee Bhagvanji J. Bathani, 64, of WoodridgeCheap Cheap Liquor employee Rao-Varinder Singh Bhullar, 43, of PlainfieldBP Amoco employee Sharath Kumar Bandara, 24, of Romeoville;Circle K employee Jessica Wisinski, 22, of Plainfield All five employees were released on a notice to appear in court, Illinois State Police said. "The ISP commends establishments which do not sell alcohol to minors," police said. Cheap Cheap Liquors is actually in Joliet on Route 59 even though it has a Plainfield mailing address. Google Maps
