Press release from the East Providence School District: District Office Hours: M-F 8am - 4pm Rhode Island State Pre-Kindergarten Classes Enrollment is now open for the State Pre-K classes. Due to the significant program demands, students must be selected for enrollment through a RIDE supervised lottery. What you will need to apply: An active email addressWorking phone numberChild's legal nameChild's date of birth (Must be 4 years old by September 1, 2021)Child's addressMonthly household income (Lottery is not income dependent)To be eligible for enrollment: Your child must turn 4 years of age by September 1, 2021Live in the community in which the RI Pre-K program is locatedA copy of the child's birth certificateProof of residencyFamily total income will be vertified to match what is reported in this application to complete your child's enrollmentWhat happens next: Applications to the statewide lottery are accepted through 11:59 p.m. on July 6, 2021. The lottery will run following General Assembly passage of the state budget. Once you have successfully submitted your application, you will receive an email confirmation. Please retain this email and confirmation number for your records. If you do not receive an email confirmation, your application has not been submitted to the Pre-K lottery.
