Job Title: Construction Laborer Location: Charlotte, NC Pay: between $11 and $15 per hour Job Type: Full time and Part-time, multiple shifts available Description: Under general supervision, a Semi-Skilled Laborer performs a wide variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks related to construction and maintenance. Skills and Qualifications: Physical Strength and Endurance. It should come as no surprise that construction is a physically demanding job. Dexterity and Hand-Eye Coordination. Building and Engineering Knowledge. Reading and Math Skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Technology. Willingness to Learn. Knowledge of reading and working off a tape measure. Must have a tool belt, hammer, square, tape, and steel-toed boots. Responsibilities: Cleaning and preparing construction sites. Loading and unloading materials and equipment 50+lbs. Assisting in placing temporary structures. Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes. Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment.
