We are currently seeking a Body Shop Technician Apprentice to join our elite team at Sunset Cadillac of Bradenton's Collision Center. This is a great opportunity for a recent collision school graduate or current trainee/prepper who wants to begin or move up in your career as an automotive collision technician. Schooling and/or experience and certifications strongly preferred, but not required. We will provide on-the-job training and schooling to enthusiastic, dependable candidates who show promise and drive. Must be computer literate and able to use a smart phone. Collision Tech Apprentice Duties Assist in the completion of the repair, rebuild, and refinish processes on damaged vehicles, which could include: Remove, repair, replace damaged vehicle panels, bumpers, etc. Disassembly and reassembly of automotive systems and parts Hammer out, fill, and sand damaged vehicle panels, doors, bumpers, etc. Masking, sanding, applying undercoats, mid-coats and top coats. Use power tools, paint mixers, paint, cleaning solvents, and waxes as needed. All work completed per estimate and according to manufacturer's standards. Body Shop Technician Requirements Successful Candidate must be career minded, able to take direction and work independently to produce top quality results, take pride in your work, and have a great attitude. Collision center experience and/or schooling is preferred. Must have good hands-on ability and good visual acuity. Must have a valid driver's license, clean background record, and verifiable work history.
